KEY FOR PACKAGING & LOADING CODES - COILS
200 or 201 - COILS (refer to page 3 for minimum strapping guidelines)
Refer to following SECTIONS when the packaging code begins:
300 or 301 - COILS. (refer to page 5 for minimum strapping guidelines)
EX - EXPORT (EX is displayed in the first position of the code.)
P - PRECOAT (P is displayed in the first position of the code)
T - TIN PLATE (T is displayed in the first position of the code.)
S - SPECIALS (refer to page 3 for minimum strapping guidelines)
(S is displayed in the first position of the code.)
H - SPECIALS (refer to page 5 for minimum strapping guidelines)
(H is displayed in the first position of the code.)
Followed by the protection requirement coded:
B - Bare
W - Wrapped
U - Shrouded with Paper ONLY! (Paper - refer to 200U - Coils Section)
Eye Vertical Codes add Dust Cap. (See S25 Detail Insert)
VW - VCI* wrap (*Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor)
K - Poly wrap
KU - Clear poly bag shroud (Bag - refer to 200KU - Coils Section)
NU - Clear poly sheet shroud (Poly - refer to 200NU - Coils Section)
VK - VCI* poly wrap. (VW or WW may be used with approval from Dofasco P&L coordinator)
D - Double application of wrapping (code examples: DW, DVW, DVK)
WU - Shroud full coil edge to edge. (Full Shroud-refer to 200WU-Coils Section)
WW - Winter Wrap (See Glossary for description)
MVW - VCI* wrap then apply metal wrap

Where the code contains “O” (I.e. LO or CO) there will be no driver option allowed for loading direction. Coils must be loaded according to the code L Only or C Only.
