Refer to following SECTIONS when the packaging code begins:
1, 2, 3 or 4 - CUT LENGTHS
EX  - EXPORT 
P  - PRECOAT  (P is displayed in the first position of the code)
T  - TIN PLATE
 - SPECIALS


Followed by the protection requirement coded:

B - Bare
W - Wrapped
U - Shrouded with Paper  (Refer to 1U - Cut Lengths Section)
K - Poly wrap
VK - VCI* poly wrap
VW - VCI* wrap                 (*Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor)
D - Double application of wrapping  (code examples: DW, DVW, DVK)
MVW - VCI wrap then apply metal wrap


Followed by the placement of hardwood base runners or platforms coded:

Followed by the actual height of the base runners coded:
2 - 2 in. ( 51 mm)
3 - 3 in. ( 76 mm)

Followed by an asterisk ( * ) to separate the packaging code from the loading code.

Followed by the direction of placement on vehicle:
 
** NOTE: If forklift unloading, depending upon the required (coded) loading direction of the base runners, additional loose 3" x 3" lumber must be placed under the base runners to facilitate lifting.
